Gay Games board Affirms One LGBT Event in 2018 Federation of Gay Games Board of Directors affirms goal of for One Quadrennial Event in 2018.
San Francisco – (17 March 2010) The Federation of Gay Games board would like to issue these statements with joy and unanimous support from the board of directors.
Following a meeting of the Co-Presidents of the Federation of Gay Games and GLISA on 5 March 2010, in Manchester, UK, to discuss the future of worldwide LGBT sport and culture, the FGG Board affirms that one quadrennial event in 2018 is our goal.
Sports, Culture, and Human Rights will be components of the 2018 event, as they have been in the past.
We see a number of steps needed to move in this direction. The FGG's priority is a successful Gay Games VIII, to which GLISA has been invited to participate.

Hello Team Los Angeles:
I hope everyone is excited about the upcoming Gay Games in Cologne! I know I am!
I apologize for the late notice, but we have been working hard to try to obtain sponsorships for the games.
Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we have been unable to secure a block of hotel rooms to offer or reduced airfare. They all seem to want money up front or a guarantee of a certain number of rooms. We just don't have the funds to do that.
However, there is a great hotel finder feature on the games website with hotels of all levels. Just go to www.colognegaygames.com and click on the link for Hotels on the right side of the page under "Register now!" Maybe we can all just book the same hotel, or two. I went on there and found a great 4-star hotel for a little over $100USD per night. For two people that is only $50USD per night. The hotel is called "Leonardo."
As far as airfare, American Airlines is offering discounted fares for the games. Just log onto AA.com/rainbow to book your flight, and use promotion code: 9470AI
Sorry we were unable to offer better deals. We are still working on it and if we come up with anything I will let you all know.
Take care,
-Michael J. Clark Co-President Team Los Angeles Sports Diversity Foundation

The Foundation is an umbrella organization that serves to foster the personal growth, self-confidence, and self-esteem of its members by facilitating their participation in regional, national, and international amateur sports competitions at all levels of ability.
We accomplish this mission primarily by providing an inter-sports resource network for athletes and sports leaders, and by representing the region in preparation for regional, national, and international Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, and Transgender (“GLBT”) sporting events (Gay Games, World Outgames, etc.).
Fundamentally, the Foundation is inclusive in nature and does not exclude any individual on the basis of sexual orientation, sexual identity, gender, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, political beliefs, physical ability, or health status
